For over forty years, surfers have been catching the best waves on the South Coast at Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers. Bournemouth Bay has always been known as a safe surfing location and for its clean beaches. Bournemouth Pier has a longer ride than Boscombe. The most popular peak is on the East of the Pier, but there are sand bars on both sides of the pier. When working, it can get crowded. Access can be difficult but the best plan is to access the lower promenade at Boscombe Pier and drive west as far as you are able.
